1. Açaí

Açaí, pronounced ah-sah-ee, is a fruit which comes from a palm that grows in the tropics. This tiny, round, and black-purple berry has recently become popular and is now popularly served as a juice, a smoothie, a tonic and other forms of food supplement. However you want to consume it, açaí is a food for good health, a food for the best health even, due to its ability to neutralize free radicals, almost 10 times more powerful as a the regular blueberry. Now that's a super food.

2. Buckwheat

The hulled grains and the flour which comes from the seeds of this plant is a super food used by the ancient people of China and Tibet. They make noodles out of it, something the Japanese and the Koreans, some of the healthiest eaters in the world, now do. Glucose in buckwheat helps make capillary walls stronger. Buckwheat also has a high level of protein.
